From Diocese of the Armenian Church of Iraq-Meeting with Iraqi President

At noon on September 7 the Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Iraq, His Eminence Archbishop Avak Asadourian. Ph.D.,  together with the chairman and some members of the Diocesan Council visited the newly-elected president of Iraq, His Excellency  Dr. Fuad Ma'soum in the Presidential Palace in Baghdad.

After congratulating his Excellency for assuming the presidency of Iraq, the Armenian delegation touched upon the critical situation throughout Iraq and addressed the issue of the different component parts of the Iraqi Society, among whom is the Armenian citizens, and their rights .
