Beatrice Ohanessian lecture

A talk given at the University of Minnesota by Beatrice Ohanessian (1927-2008).
Ms. Ohanessian was born in Baghdad to Armenian parents; her mother and uncles were survivors of the Armenian genocide. She was the premier concert pianist in Iraq, as well as a composer. She studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London and at the Juilliard School in New York. She moved permanently to the U.S. in 1994, where she settled in the Minneapolis area near her brother Arsham and sister Sita. She taught piano the University of Minnesota, Macalester College and the University of St. Thomas.
