Australian Armenians

The first Armenian clergyman, who reached Australia and formed Armenian communities there in 1950s was Archbishop Asoghik Ghazarian, the Primate of Iraqi Armenian Diocese 1966-1978. It is pity that 95 percent of the Armenians born in Australia do not speak Armenian!! In the recent years only 30-35 percent of the marriages were between Armenians !!
