Moscow Tycoon Named Armenian Ambassador To Iraq- With my comment

My Comment: I sent the following comment to the Azatutyun.am web site:

On Feb. 15, 2000, Armenia and Iraq had declared the establishment of full diplomatic relations between them. In the same year, Armenia's embassy was opened in Baghdad in its temporary place. The official inauguration of the Embassy headquarters took place in February 2001 in the presence of the then Armenia's Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian. On March 2003 (before the US and UK invasion of Iraq) the Embassy's mission left Iraq. Thus, the mission served in Iraq for nearly 3 years, not 3 months as mentioned in the news story.
